J.K. Rowling
We have worked on a range of projects for J.K. Rowling since 2016. From the rebrand of the Harry Potter fan site Pottermore and the creation of the Wizarding World brand, to the design and development of websites for jkrowling.com and Robert Galbraith. We also created the visual identity and serialisation launch site for her latest children’s book, The Ickabog.
What we did:
- Brand positioning
- Tone of voice development
- Brand name creation
- Visual identities
- Art direction
- Websites

Helping one of the world’s most successful writers connect with her fans.

We designed and produced the original launch sites for both jkrowling.com and robert-galbraith.com, based on the idea of the 'writer's desk'. Both sites featured personal ephemera shot in-situ to create a rich, authentic experience.

The rebrand of the official Harry Potter fan site Pottermore featured a logotype crafted from J.K. Rowling's own handwriting, custom typefaces, new iconography and a suite of sumptuous photographic textures using real props from the movie franchise.

The Ickabog children's book identity embraced hand-drawn ink illustration inspired by the author's manuscript. We also created the launch site which released new chapters each day, with a browser experience that felt as close as possible to reading a real book.
